The Link Multi Academy Trust, is seeking to appoint a highly organised individual with a professional manner and effective communication skills to support its Governance Team. The Clerk’s main role is to provide professional clerking services to the Trust Members, Board of Trustees and its sub-committees, including supporting and advising the Clerks to the Local Boards.
Discretion and flexibility, plus excellent organisation and computer skills are essential in this role, as well as a high standard of English. Experience in a previous clerking role is desirable. An encrypted laptop will be provided for this role. You should have an interest in education and be able to deal with matters confidentially.
The Clerk must ensure the smooth running of the Board of Trustees:
This is mainly a working from home part time role, covering at least five full Trust Board meetings and up to 20 committee meetings per year. Meetings are held in term time and can be daytime, late afternoon or evening, but are all scheduled a year in advance giving plenty of notice. Currently, due to Covid all meetings are held online via Microsoft Teams, but hope to get back to some normality over the coming year. The clerk is also expected to attend relevant training events and briefings.
